Sediment and Erosion Control
As environmental awareness increases, it is more important than ever to
ensure that projects do not result in the uncontrollable production of sediments. Sediment and erosion
control devices help protect proponents from prosecution under the Fisheries Act and help protect natural processes that occur in the environment. Balanced Environmental's
fabrication department produces a variety of natural eco friendly products at competitive rates. In addition, our technicians fabricate a variety of custom products for specific applications.
Fisheries Projects
It can be difficult to near impossible to meet some of the requirements of a DFO Section 35 Authorization. For example, it is nearly impossible to completely isolate a work area and maintain a turbidity level of less than 8 NTU. Balanced Environmental fabricates a number of natural eco friendly devices that help isolate work areas as best possible and help protect fish habitat.
Fisheries Research
Balanced Environmental is working with Fisheries and Oceans Canada to develop cost effective products which will help protect natural fish stocks in British Columbia. This includes protection of herring eggs from creosote treated piles.
